The date is Saturday, August 14, 3pm to 6:30pm.  We'll modify the Jamboree format from a luncheon potluck and barbeque to an early evening potluck and barbeque, with the quartet and chorus singing taking place BEFORE we eat!
 
We think you will enjoy New Brighton... it is a pine and eucalyptus rich camping area on the cliffs above New Brighton Beach, with a trail/stairs from the campsite down to the beach if you wish to dip your toes in the water.  (Or you can come early and spend some hours at the beach on your own, using the Day Use parking area, which has an easy-access ramp from the parking lot to the beach.)  The campsite on the cliffs above is level and easy walking, but access to the beach itself is either stairs from the campsites or the cement ramp from the Day Use area.

We will be doing a paid performance for all of the campers (we are hired by the State Parks) at the evening campfire, but we plan an afternoon of relaxation and singing followed by a potluck supper and bbq, so it is a perfect setting for our Jamboree get-together.  Here is the schedule:

2:00pm - GSC members can access the campsite to set up
3:00pm - Cypressaires and Bay Bells arrive for
                    - snack time (cookies, fruit, misc hors-d'oevres)
                    - quartets and choruses sing for each other
4:30pm - end singing to set up potluck tables
4:45pm - put your meat on the hot barbeques
5:00pm - self-serve, everyone sit down to eat
5:45pm - chorus directors direct combined choruses in songs
6:00pm - cleanup starts, last bit of pickup quartetting
6:30pm - end of Jamboree, GSC starts to get ready for performance
